We are grateful to all our partners, staff, committee members and volunteers.

CHILD HEALTH CLINIC
WA Country Health provide their Child Health Services from our Child Health Clinic located in the BFCC Office building. Health professionals such as Child Health Nurse, Speech Therapist, Occupational Therapist and Physiologist, use the rooms from Monday to Friday.
These services are made possible due to the efforts of our volunteer Child Health Committee who donate their time and energy, to apply for shire funding to cover rent & amenities to keep these services on site. The Child Health Clinic is also supported by Bridgetown Rotary, who also advocate for and source funds.
While WA Country Health provide the professional services, our volunteer team work closely with the Child Health Nurse and the BFCC to support our playgroup families, our community and new parents by organising community events and fundraise for projects. Our Child Health Committee organise the annual Pram Walk for Post Natal Depression Awareness, have hosted a Cake Stall to raise money for breast pump attachments and organised a special Playgroup morning for Numeracy and Literacy Week.
BLACKWOOD PARENTS
Days for Girls Bridgetown is a chapter of Days for Girls International, which works toward the goal of every woman in the world having access to feminine hygiene. Days for Girls International provides sustainable and effective feminine hygiene solutions to girls and women worldwide.
The Bridgetown Chapter is led by Brenda Dawes and Brooke Murphy, who operate from the corner rooms in the Old Terminus Hotel.
“We turn periods into pathways. Days for Girls increases access to menstrual care and education by developing global partnerships, seeding social enterprises, mobilizing volunteers, and innovating solutions that shatter stigmas and limitations for women and girls. Together, we’re creating a world with dignity, health, and opportunity for all.
Our movement has reached more than one million girls — and counting! With your help, we can reach Every Girl. Everywhere. Period.
Here in Bridgetown we have grown very quickly since we started in March 2015 and have numerous subgroups and individuals as part of the chapter. We have also ventured into supporting two DfG Enterprises in PNG and Cambodia and introduced a Global Girls Festival into our program. We welcome new volunteers of all ages.”
